Within the framework of opening to the public the remarkable modern-heritage sites of Eileen Gray and Le Corbusier (Villa E-1027 by Eileen Gray and Jean Badovici, the Camping Unit, Cabanon and Atelier by Le Corbusier, and Étoile de Mer by Thomas Rebutato), a visitor-reception project is being developed on the site of the Cabbé station, upstream of the monuments.
The station, still served by the train yet whose premises are disused, is re-envisaged as a “cultural station”. A visitor hub (bookshop-ticket office) is installed in a rail-carriage placed on disused tracks, and the shed has been re-structured to provide a large area dedicated to exhibitions or lectures.
