Perched on the rocky cliff at 1,100 metres, a remarkable concrete structure rises into the sky. This is the arrival station of the Salève cable car (Haute-Savoie): a composition of columns and walkways topped by a long volume resembling a zeppelin floating in the blue — or a ghostly vessel, depending on the weather.
