Claudia Devaux will be speaking on 6 November 2026 as part of the ‘Building & Resources: Maintenance and Reuse of Materials’ course, within the framework of EPFL’s continuing professional development programme in Fribourg. The course focuses on key skills that enable the sustainable integration of building management into a circular economy approach.
She will discuss the restoration of reinforced concrete structures, drawing on case studies of buildings listed as Historic Monuments. Analysis of structural defects, original construction techniques and heritage requirements enables the identification of intervention strategies that reconcile the preservation of the historic fabric with structural restoration.
