The dd.a agency is currently working on the renovation project for Le Corbusier’s water tower in Podensac. As part of this, a symposium aimed at professionals in the fields of architecture and heritage was held on Friday 3 July 2026, featuring a presentation of the studies carried out and the restoration project.
The project management team, comprising dd.a (lead consultant and heritage architect), Atelier Ergon (structural engineering consultancy) and T/E/S/S engineering consultancy (thermal engineering), is responsible for the full scope of project management, with Le Groupe des Cinq acting as the client.
On the one hand, the aim of the water tower’s renovation is to reopen the site and make it accessible to the general public. Furthermore, the creation of a cross-disciplinary art space and an offline artist-in-residence programme will boost the cultural development of the region. This project, with national and international reach, therefore aims to transform the site into a place for encounters and exchanges, serving as a new economic driver for the town of Podensac and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
